By the time you read this, the worlds may haveburnedto a crisp.
Things have been fragile here in our worlds.
Civilization is now at the cusp of extinction. This isn’t a zombie story. No; it’s more of an “I’m in more trouble than you are” story.
The war begin in 2135.......Lighting spheres lit the skies, which were operated by charged superconductors.
Half the people’s population was heavily dispersed amongst other exoplanets, Gilese 581 g being one of them, which was colonized in 2094
At this point, civilizationthrived.
Human life had been extended by over 230 years, and what we call ourselves could just maybe be called people.
But we were still human .
My story begins where yours ends.
You see, us so-called “humans” have been around for millennia. What used to be taught in what I was told was called school was that we have been around no more than 4 million years. Before that came micro-species, other micro-organisms, which were later documented by mankind.
It was alllies .
The truth is not that simple.
It’s likely that this process which has been governing our multiverse in all observable dimensions has repeated itself multiple times since The Conflict.
Even before the first age of mankind, humans existed; in fact they existed in a more sophisticated form…even more sophisticated than us.
But what’s most fascinating is that humans still fought.
They still fought over
land
matter
items they thought valuable
The genus I speak about is now known as the Dyshtas
Only recently, our collective discovered remnants of their kind. Some of our greatest minds have attempted to solve the puzzles of their ancestry, but this has led to no conclusive evidence. What has been discovered, however, is that the species, like us in our earlier forms, competed against its own kind. Recent studies have posited that they fought each other with such contempt that they brought Armageddon on themselves, in all worlds in which they lived.
But the process of armageddon repeats itself
Just as the legends say...
Choose a character
Our ship glided through the galaxy...
We were searching for remanents...
outside of our exoplanets. For things that may have been harmful to our civilizations
But as we sat propelled in midair on our ship, I noticed something strange
The object was different....
It appeared to be similar to a vision metering system, a device we used to see around corners
Karina instructed us to investigate
I ordered the crew to
...We decided not to investigate the object, alerting Karina of the possible threat
But the object seemed to collide directly with our ship somehow... we collided directly with it
This was the last thing I can remember
then everything went
......
Upon bringing the object into our vessel, a loud, shrillish sound filled the vessel.
The object's tubes dissipated into a crystallized polygon
This was the last thing I can remember
then everything went
......
black
......
System Failed Rebooting
......
I awoke to a blueish light.
My ship had crashed
I got up slowly, noticing a strange feeling in my artificial knees
....
Pain
....
Also, the ship was empty.
Attempting to connect to Karina, I noticed something was off
....
No more whispering... no more...
Nothing
I opened the ship doors, feeling a strange throbbing sensation
I immediately saw a land unlike our own, of hydrogen compounds, rocky surfaces.
It was as I remembered the Dyshtas' land!
But exhausted, I couldn't decide what to do...
I engaged my thrusters, toggling infrared vision
I had a bird's eye view in a matter of seconds
I immediately noticed a cluster of individuals. Readings indicated that at least one of them was a troop member from the ship.
I could then decide whether to find out who this was
Upon reaching the bodies, I found a troop member, Bianca, accompanied with two short, unidentifiable creatures
It was strange
They were in the process of making strange utterances I could not identify
This was the first time I had heard what had been called speech
Ever since The Collective, we had spoken through it. I only then realized it was impossible for me to communicate unless I adapted somehow
Yet somehow
....
They were talking.
I approached the group slowly
The creatures immediately turned their attention to me. I raised my arms to indicate harmlessness.
I eventually learned to understand their words
They explained to us that we had landed on a distant planet, and that they were only somewhat aware of our existence.
We had run into one of their exoplanetary shields, set to trigger upon contact with oxygen. The false triggering and contact with oxygen caused our ship to crash.
They convinced me to rebel against my home land in Gilese.
They were able to do so, only as Karina was no longer with me, out of range
They even assimilated me to their culture.
I was happy there. Until my new planet was invaded.
The prophets on my new land had predicted this, so it came as no shock
Knowing my home land, it was hard, but by this time, they had converted me to hate my own civilization.
So I decided
So I joined the fight on my new exoplanet
I
It all began during my training, as I was being assigned my last mission
As an assassin for those who committed Thought Crime
Thought crime...
Also known as false reporting
It was the biggest of all treason in our colonies. Any submitted or uploaded record that went against another witness's account for the event was treated as treason, resulting in a potential death sentence
At the same time, I had been taking care of my little brother, clide
He was everything to me
Though I was well-off in terms of my duty, it was often difficult to juggle teaching him mind management techniques
My job, as an assassin, was to slay tyrants
I was an adept in my field... I could almost instantly identify a Tyrant
It only came as a shock, when during my training, I was assigned to examine a portion of 20 false records in one gilesian day
But as soon as I tried to think further, Karina swayed my thoughts
It was my last mission, my evaulation exam
I set out, as usual, navigating to the coordinates Karina sent me
But something was unusual this time
The Traitor wasmy own trainer
I had to choose: slay my trainer, or retreat and flee the galaxy
I knew what I had to do
so I slayed her, as Karina instructed.
But as soon as I had finished, I interpreted a global broadcast
.....
Our exoplanet was under siege
Karina was calling all assasins to her aid to defend our colony
A woman by the name of Coronni was invading our lands
It said she hadBadintentions
In the disaster, I had no choice, but to aid in defending my planet. Karina had such control over me
I soon realized, as my mind was controlled, that we stood no chance against Coronni's army
Below me, I saw hundreds of an unidentifiable species, with an organism just like our own kind.
A woman
.....
It was Coronni
I watched as the creatures destroyed my homeland
While some were being mercelessly killed with photon lasers, others were being captured.
I was brutally murdered, and suffered an exhausting, horrible death
The end
